Description:

Position Overview To support, troubleshoot, set-up, process, and repair molding equipment and or tooling to ensure manufacturing meets all customer schedules.


Qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities Retrieve prepared molds and installs into molding presses. Secure mold to platen and sets up appropriate mold heating and cooling. Proficiently starts up molds using decoupled/ scientific molding practices. Investigates new materials and determines molding parameters Inspect sample parts for surface and dimensional defects Run molds, finish parts and package as required Accurately document process parameters Remove molds from the press and stage for disassembly. Troubleshoot and correct process problems at the press. Purge barrel of leftover materials at the conclusion of an order. Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization. Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance. Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Skills and Experience Hazardous Waste Successfully complete job specific RCRA / DOT training, as required. Accumulate hazardous in designated containers in accordance with established procedures. Communicate waste accumulation issues or problems immediately to supervision. Able to safely operate hand held and stationary power tools. Able to work safely with sharp and heavy objects (e.g., utility knives, aluminum blocks). Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dial indicators. Able to be licensed to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane hoist, etc.) – we will train. High School Diploma or Equivalent Technical school for molding certificate or comparable training from a previous employer. 3-5 years previous experience with injection molding is required, e.g., processing, setups. Education Trade School High School Diploma
