T-Shirts for Turkeys

Each November, The JOY FM listening community provides thousands of turkeys for area food banks and homeless shelters during their annual T-Shirts for Turkeys.  These turkeys are graciously donated by our listeners in exchange for a custom-designed JOY FM t-shirt, which help fulfill the demand for holiday meals for needy families, the homeless and working poor. The turkeys are collected over a three-week span with “Turkey Stops” from Gainesville to Sarasota. The promotion serves a dozen different local organizations who feed the hungry.  T-Shirts for Turkeys is underwritten each year by Publix Supermarkets.
