Description:
SUMMARY The Wellness Administrative Assistant is a residential care support position and reports directly to the Wellness Coordinator. This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Wellness Coordinator for the efficient functioning of the Wellness Center. This person will complete all transcription for the Medical Director for all programming as well as assist the wellness staff with the daily functioning of the clinic. WORK HOURS/SHIFT: Full Time: 40 hours, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Days and hours varied, depending on department needs. Salary: $13.50 per hour


Qualifications:
EDUCATION Certificate as Medical Transcriptionist preferred Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Some college education preferred, but not required QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 2 years administrative experience in a child welfare setting preferred Experience with Electronic Health Record Systems strongly desired Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems Working knowledge of electronic or computerized scanners Strong organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills· Sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Complete all transcription for the Medical Director for all programming. Ensuring completeness and accuracy. SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists Wellness Coordinator with daily operations (i.e., code blue or code gray, vital signs.) Keeps accurate medical records and filing, ensuring accurate information is in the computer system for resident files and K-care documentation. Audit Resident records for medical compliance. Receives and delivers necessary documents to appropriate staff members. Fax and copy documents as needed and required. Answer telephone and route calls. Perform admission and discharge documents for the Wellness Center and assuring the correct information is obtained by the correct entity/agency for each resident. Communicates with case managers and lead agency staff in providing the need for correct documents and appointments for each resident in a timely manner. Scanning and uploading of all medical documents to active files. Ensure all medical appointments are scheduled and up to date. Ensures the intake of medications from the Pharmacy, checking for accuracy of orders, and distributes medications to Cottages as needed. Able to understand orders per the psychiatrist with regard to the resident's needs. Understands the prescription and Pharmacy dynamics for resident needs. Able to organize, on a daily basis, the priorities of an ever-changing medical environment.
