The part-time (20 hours per week) gift entry/accounts payable position at the MCG Foundation, Inc. is responsible for the day to day accounting process of gift entry, assisting with the accounts payable process as well as providing the CFO with assistance on all financial-related tasks. Principal Responsibilities • Open and analyze all gifts as they are received • Update donor information in donor data base • Processing gifts in donor database – entering gifts, scanning gifts into database, sending tax acknowledgement letters, processing misdirected checks • Processing payables through Great Plains – entering payables, cutting checks, resolving incomplete check requests, paying MCGF bills on time, scanning payables into database • Assist with monthly and quarterly closing • Assist with special projects


• Experience in accounting processes • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Attention to detail • Ability to communicate with board, donors and institution staff • Analytical and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new concepts • Ability to work independently
