We are seeking a skilled, motivated individual to join our team to refurbish hydraulic cylinders for convertible top automobiles. This position requires solid mechanical skills and abilities. It requires careful, precise use of small hand tools, along with patience and attention to detail. We are a fast paced production environment. Customers send us their cylinders and pumps to be rebuilt. We replace worn parts, refurbish/remanufacture/rebuild the cylinder and/or pump components, and ship the parts back to the customer in a quick turnaround time. Responsibilities - Refurbish hydraulics cylinders using hand tools, machines and specified equipment to perform work steps that include: disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing. - Effectively utilize common measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc., to perform quality assurance on finished parts, working to very close tolerances. Identify damaged components and work with supervisor to determine appropriate repair or replacement decision. - Coordinate workload to meet daily shop schedule and deadlines. - Follow established operating procedures and work methods to perform all work in accordance with the approved quality and safety standards. - Ensure that workstation is clean, organized, and stocked with adequate supplies and that tools are available and in good working order.


Skills and Experience Required for Success - Excellent mechanical skills and aptitude - Skilled at working with precision tools, gauges, and small hand tools - Skilled at working with small parts - Able to perform precise work with accuracy and great attention to detail - Excellent memory and recall skills - Solid hand eye coordination - Excellent manual dexterity and coordination - High degree of integrity - Hard-working, can-do attitude - Strong teamwork skills - Solid organization skills Preferred Experience - Manual machining experience using a lathe and/or milling machine. - A minimum of one year working in a repair, production, assembly, or manufacturing facility.
