Description:
The Preschool/Child Care Center Director has direct oversight and primary responsibility to plan, develop, organize, manage and coordinate the approved curriculum goals, standards, and learning objective to facilitate personal development and implementation of the early childhood education program. The Childcare Center Director is to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures and state, local, and federal regulations. Minimum of 5 years of childcare and management experience preferred.
Qualifications:
• Associate Degree or higher in Early Education; • Must have active and current Director Credentials with VPK endorsement; • Must have active and current CPR/First Aid Certification; • Must have active and current FCCPC Certificate (formerly CDA Credential); • Strong leadership qualities, ability to coordinate, inspire and motivate staff; • Strong written and verbal communication skills; • Strong initiative and ability to solve problems; • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision; • Must be detailed oriented; • Clear background screening and fitness to work with children; • Successful experience as a teacher and administrator in an educational environment; • Must be proficient with Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); • Ability to maintain confidentially.
