It's the last day before vacation for Dave, Bill and Carmen! They'll be out for a little "R & R" for the next couple of weeks. Our summer read was supposed to be Jonathan Pokluda's book, Why Do I Do What I Don't Want To Do?. We didn't quite meet that goal but Carmen and Bill plan to read through the rest of the book while they are out. In the meantime, Bill recently took a look at what he had to say about pride in the book. 

Carmen is headed to Tennessee for part of her vacation and plans to hit up the Pigeon Forge area with a group to do an escape room with a prison break theme among other things. 

We reshared a conversation with Jules about her husband and his NASA backpack and got an update on the prank she pulled on her parents to learn that she got pranked on vacation. 

Dave is excited for Krispy Kreme as they celebrate 86 years today with a deal to get a 2nd dozen for 86 cents! He's also celebrating 2 of his daughters-in-law as they celebrate a birthday today. 

Bill shared a word of truth from Psalm 119 and Carmen shared some thoughts from Natasha Crain on having a biblical worldview in a secular culture. 

Bill's vacation planning has been trying to plan times to do nothing! 

Carmen is also planning on going to Dollywood for the first time and was already checking out the merch online to see if Dave and Bill wanted some gifts from the theme park. 

Dave told us about a passport renewal scam. 

Carmen was getting ready to tell us about Sound of Freedom but then it was time for her to check-in on her flight. So Dave took over and when Carmen got all of her flight info taken care of she decided on a whim, much to Hitch's surprise, to giveaway some tickets to see the film. 

Carmen shared a few DM's that she has gotten recently and answered those before shutting down for vacation. 

And Bill might have been in the wrong vacation mode for his BIG Word of the Day.
